i thought it was just because i used to have a GSi that my 1.4 16v sport felt slow but nope, it got its arse kicked off a 1.2 sxi corsa c and a 1.2 8v clio and only just beat a 1.0 12v.

it runs fine now and drives ok just really really slow, its missing a bit tho which i can hear but not really that noticable.

it struggles to start some times from cold sometimes cutting out. its had new plugs, Idle control valve, EGR valve, lambda sensor.

kinda feels like a fuel pressure problem, any one know how i can test this without changing fuel pump or what ever.

cheers
AJ

definately sounds broke! mine used to fly for a 1.4, would reach 110 aswell. I realize this doesn't help

Just check the usual things, fuel filter/air filer, compression, spark...

Hey Aj...

Mines doin the same thing struggling to beat 1.4i 8v clios with 4 people in it...But i rape 1.2 16v corsa C But ive got the same symtems as you tho ive been told the following of what it could be....Fuel filter,Icv,Lamba sensor,EGR Valve,Miss Firing,Timings out(tooth Out,Clutch,Leads,Air flow meter...And i aint fucking replacing all of them....So Im might get a new Xe14X or a Xe16X or if i can afford the insurance a Xe20x
Your better of gettin a Prober dianostic(SP) check as it can tell you what rong and were to start lookin...Tell me how you got on..
