is there anyway of getti8ng a car into gear when the cable has snapped? its right down the other end of the road and i kinda need it back at my house

the car is over a mile away and theres hill that i wouldnt be able to push it up

dont no if this will work but here goes
get some rope and tie it to ur clutch lever on the gearbox feed it into the car where ur wires go through should be a rubber bung behind the dash under the glove box
when u oull it it should pull the clutch in so u can get it in gear hopefully when u relese it it should spring back and off u go
may not work tho but is worth a try should only take a few mins to rig up
