Hi all, ive got a 1.6 sport and have fitted it with a full sebring system consisting of centre section and xt1 back box and i have now fitted a straight through cat pipe from piper. Can certainly feel the difference in driving the car which is what i was after but it is just so damn loud. Drove past a row of cars today and it set two alarms off.
It completely drowns out the induction noise which i really loved before. If i change the back box over to a quieter one do you think it will make much difference giving that it is the only silencer in the system? Anyone have any ideas about manufacturers? Have heard remus back boxes make a sporty sound but not much louder than standard? is this right? I want a sporty sound but its a bit OTT! Any ideas would be appreciated!

have a silence put in your middle section that should sort it out, cheaper than a new backbox

yeah my exhaust is really loud, i always set off car alarms, but i like to be annoying like tht, the bloke sed at powerflow tht if u get stopped from being to loud he would put in a nother silencer, or my centre box for me

They can only stop you if you are being a nuisence or they have a noise meter in the car...

can't you get a decat with a silencer in it?
plus not having any silencers in the system is gonna damage ur back box isn't it? chuck all the fiberglass shoot out usually and block them
