Yes i know its the wrong forum BUT finished work early to get the car sorted out and got a prob:
got the new engine fitted, (c16xe, mantzel, chipped, cams, stage 2 head, forged pistons, lightened and balanced bottom end polished and ported, ) etc, it runs sweet as a nut when cold BUT when it gets warm it splutters and tries to cut out, i have replaced the 2 temp sensors anyway which one of them is the gauge inside the car, also have replaced the thermostat on the front of the engine as old one wasnt opening, have also replaced the idle control valve and its still doing it
Anyone have a clue what else can be the problem? need to get sorted asap
Cheers

Mine has an air leak at the mo and is running shite; like yours sounds. Mine is Exhaust manifold gasket; get an o2 reading from your emisions and see what it comes up with, mine is a lot higher than it should be. A way of testing it would be to resrict the airflow into the engine and see if it idles better, i used some mole grips on the oxygen pipe that feeds into the engine and it then iddles perfect!

yes. got one here, £20
but i think its unlikely to be that. i would check the air flow meter, although check obvious things like vaccum pipes
crank case breather being blocked could also cause this.

got an ecu and airflow meter tonight off a mate to see if its any of those which are causing the prob, as a mate said the reason they rev low is too much fuel??
I did the paper clip test and it came up with code15 which is the coolant temp sensor even though i have changed this gonna leave the battery disconected for a few hours see if that re-sets itself as i have fitted a new one. Just hope its the ecu or afm aif not im clue less if you guys can think of anything else will try that.
ps: cheers corsa808 for the tips/txt msg about it, will also clean the crank case breather tomorrow
