Similar things to the 1600, is it essential that you stay with the 14?

saw in for sale bit, someone was selling some unichip or something, said that with a lexmaul got 110bhp.

dunno how accurate that is but seems a good start.

the inlet/sealed filter/zorst is a good start, get it breathing right, probs best with a chip to fuel it right as well. Bearing in mind stuff like decat are illegal and you'll have to state other stuff on insurance otherwise it'll be void and not much point having it

Get one of the inlet manifold replacements that someone has recently been selling on ebay.

Probably the best bhp per £ available on an n/a engine.

think by sealed filter they mean piperX viper or something similar... but they are expensive, and if you can't afford making your air box breather better by drilling near arch, taking all the useless crap inside out, better panel filter and a better front air feed will be best if you don't want to spend £200+ on a viper or equivelant

And if you must change your distributionbelt then I would change your cams.

mantzel inlet (+/- 15/22 bhp)
264 degr cams (+/- 2/6 bhp)
k&n or another good induction kit like storm/twister (+/- 4/10 bhp)
4-2-1 exhaust manifold (no real bhp gains, better tourque low rev)
decat (better exhaustflow on high revs)
and last but not least remap the ecu on the rollers for best performance and some aditional bhp's

the bhp's should considered as a guess every engine/combination has another output with these parts

lexmaul is nice and easy to install, but it doesn't quite get there as a mantzel/dbillas inlet especially when ure going to tune it on and on a lexmaul would be a waste
