Does anyone know the penalty for driving without insurance if you have to go to court?

Been driving 4 years in December and got 3 points already

12 for a ban, your circumstances and those surrounding the offence will be considered though, only sure way of knowing what is happening is to go to court.

To be truthful, if you drive without insurance i think you should be locked up as your just as dangerous as a looney with a shot gun with no safety

Was just curious to that one above lol! Got stopped while slightly going too fast against my car but just got told there was a back brake light out phew!
But I got caught later that night again and asked for my insurance as I didnt look old enough to own a car of that standard
Then the police was later surprised to find that the owner of the car was actually 3 years younger than me

min 7 points and £150 fine I think. my firend got 9 points and £160

if you are insured fully comp on your own insurance im sure it covers you 3rd party on other cars iirc.
