please note the damage...

3 cracks/splits
1 area of missing plastic
1 arch side mount split
1 body mount broken off entirely...
due to the very nature of fixing the above problems the front bumper will certainly be weaker and may not be able to withstand the impact it cud before... so do i:
a) fix the bumper and have it all smoothed off to look like so:

(NeilM)
using plastic filler and so on... but bare in mind the back mount will need re doing somehow....
or do i
b) buy a new irmscher airdam front like so:

(CorsAsh)
Thing is, since i got this car and that splitter i've wanted to smooth it even before i saw pics of other peoples .etc it's just been a matter of time....
problem is now cost and the whole weakness aspect but i believe if i got a new one agreed it wudnt smash where there was repairs .etc but it wud still crack and i'd still have the same dilemma...
now some prices
1. to do a) and smooth it out totally is £250 to do a) with all my other plastics painted aswell is £400 (door handles, rear bumper, arches)
2. to do b) spray the bumper is £60 and to do b) with all my other plastics painted aswell is £200 (door handles, rear bumper, arches)
but the real cost would add an extra £360 on for the front bumper and fogs .etc

What would you do?

1st idea is better, if you used a mixture of filler and fiberglass to fix the bumper it would be very strong again if not stronger than before, theres no way its scrap, just needs the right work on it!!!

i think get it repaired and staightened, i prefer it not being smoothed as it will prob crack the filler and paint if u knock it agian,
plus in think looks nice when its not smoothed in.
