Right.. had ma car looked at by bodyshops.. they dont know if its a write of or not, pretty touch or go... Personally i didnt think it was.

Anyone on here think it is or isnt? Basically the rear of the car has been folded in, and the impact pushed the sides in a bit as well... see pics

Whatya think?
Cheers.

Once the boot floor is damaged it gets into serious repair costs tho.

Thats a write off mate. Its fixable so get some quotes for fixing it though and if you get a decent pay off from insurance company buy the car back and get it fixed.

I had a H-reg nova damaged like that. The body shop said it would a writeoff cause it would cost £1300 to fix. But the insurance fixed it in the end. New tailgate bumber slam panal and had to be Jigged. That was 18 months ago.

Its goin to the engineers/assessors on wednesday, to see what the insurance company says.

Aint sure wot to think.. I want it written off, coz i want another car, but im not sure if im gonna get a good price from the insurance company.

I wouldnae mind buying it back and gettin it kitted up wi the cash like

Thats not a difficult repair. It's only written off as its beyond economic repair. ie. the car isn't worth more than twice what the repair costs are.

For the record, I'm with Nik, pull it out and get a big engine and a cage in there
