difference between a x14xe an x16xe ecu

is there a difference as u can use either on either of the engines

mapping-ie fuel injection is greater on the x16xe ecu

EPC lists different part numbers for both X14XE and X16XE so I would say they are different.

they have different maps stored in the eprom.

look here and you will be able to find out more about which code of ecu is for which. (even vaux didnt know as much as this site tells you:lol

doesnt look like it mate, have different part numbers for the astra x16xel ecu than the corsa/tigra x16xe ecu.


would run tho. but not well. differences in the knock sensors and the loom wiring.

cheers 808 found the 2 ecu`s which i currently have looks like i best get a x16xel wiring loom

what loom you got? i can tell you how to modify the x16/ x14xe loom to fit if you want

also, what type of knock sensor is on the x16xel? is it a small black one with a bolt through it or a large gold coloured one that screws into the block without a bolt through it?

now look at the loom. look at the white/cream coloured plug. does it have a greenand red wire in the first pin.... hang on ill get you a pic......

the loom on ma 1.4 lom doesnt fit in the x16xel ecu its a white plug on the 16 an cream on the 14
