I shall be doing one at the weekend on the corsa, just out of curiousity and was just wondering how much compression is good for a GSi?

you want about 200psi across all, but make sure the engine is hot so go for a spin first.
do a dry and then a wet (5-10ml oil in each bore)
and see what the results are, and no more than a 10% diff across the cyl. 5% if you are tight.

compression test doesnt give the ratios i dont think. unless its some fancy machine

not sure about the larger ports?
I know the shapes are different, if a little smaller on the C16XE, also the head on some X14XE's
