only happens 60% of time, but when i dip clutch and select reverse in my 1.28v i get a crank! noise.very embarrasin, how do i fix this?

no other problems, 1,2,3,4,5 all fine, no slipping etc..just a cruncy reverse gear

i get this sometimes on my 1.2 16v. if it's goin to give a crank, it'l seam stiff before it goes into reverse. i find taking the clutch up in neutral, then putting it back down + into reverse solves it. try it + see

the best way to sort it is to put it into second gear and then put it into reverse.
I think its something to do with the gear linkage or somatt.

this usually works.
or check your gear linkage and adjust it.
(do a search as someone put up a good post on how to do this recently)
