sounds awful . . . really low and muffled.

have u got the settings of the amp gay. ie set up for a sub so only allowing low frequencies thru?

low pass filter? used 300w wiring kit, thought this would do as its only 6*9s. fiddled with all settings, still no better.

Is there a switch or knob thing that says low pass filter or something similar?
If it's switched on, it will only allow the low frequency sounds to the corresponding speaker. (usually a sub)

low pass filter will only allow the low frquencies to be played. only any good for a sub. set it to OFF of HIGH PASS if u can on the amp. trun all the gains, bass and trebles down.
How i set it up is to sit in the back but forward between to 2 front seats. as ure in the middle of the car you can hear what all four speakers are doing. Turn headunit up to 3/4 volume then start to turn the gain up on the amp to match. if it sound to muffled turn up the treble, if sounds too tinny put abit of bass. on. us hould be able to get it somwhere near.
