right, not realy corsa related.
i might be coming over from ireland to england to try and find a car as the the gsi is going belly up (prob a vts, cause my insurance company wont cover a gti)
anyway. i have been looking at autotrader, picked out a few testers and made some calls.
main thing i have been told to do, and makes perfect sence is to get the aa(or similar) to do a check on the car.
so my real question in a very round about way is, who would be the best to do a check on a car (mechanical, body and all that), how much would you expect to pay for this service and does anyone know of an inexpensive clean vts for sale
cheers

I probably think when whoever said about doing a check they meant a HPI check, which just makes sure there is nothing dodgy about the car and that everything matches up.

cheers, thats a start, but not exactly what i am looking for.
i have been told you can get them to do a physical check on the car and give you a report (almost like a report you would get if buying a jap import)
i am not very mechanicaly minded, and i cant realy be flying over and back form england, so these guys give it all clear or stay away. right down to condition of the speakers.
