Any ideas on getting one of these out of the box.
i've pulled and pulled but no use.
beardy said there was a cerclip to undoo if you clean the grease away, did this but cant see it.
i'll try and get piccys tonight.
any help appreciated.

tap it out, stick a stong flat end screw driver in a groove on the shaft and whack it

Make sure you have the shaft dead straigh tcoming out and a swift tug will/shoudl do it, if it's at a slight angle it will hold it in place, that or a chisel and big hammer normally scares it out.

i tried tugging it out but no use.
cant tap it out as it's snapped.
any other ides. cheers

yeah you pu the chisel between the CV and the gearbox, and hit it with a hammer. that will release the CV and half shaft.

when i took mine out, i kind of levered them out with a crowbar style implement? tried that?

drill a hole through the remainder of the shaft and put a small metal bar/ longish drill bit through the hole, then tug on it sharply, should pop out of the diff.

thanks guys, will give it a go tomorrow, too cold tonight.
so all i have to do is wedge the big ring with the ball bearings and shaft in away from the gear box using a chisel or end of a hammer or some kind!?

clean the grease of the shaft so you can actually get hold of it then pull it out

just as MI5T XE says give it a quick sharp tug and it should just pop out !!!

i'd say his hands are just slipping on it will all that grease... as robhayes said a 'crow bar type implement' jam it between the geqarbox and the driveshaft and lever it out....
