how important is one of these when doing work on your car? im thinking about buying one, but they seem expensive for what they are....so im wandering, whether i need one, or just tighten things up so theyre tight!?

can get one for a tenner from places like lidel...

i got one and it was calbirated recently along wiv my snap on one and the cheapy was better than the snap on, which had 2 be recalibrated!!

depends how much you will use it, if you have a decent socket set with extension bars etc and you dont use that often i wouldnt bother

i am planning on doing some engine work removing head and a bit more, where can i buy torque wrenches from anyway?

i use all Halford tools ( lucky cunt lee wish i had Snap-on ) Lifetime garentee so you can snap brake them asmuch as u like and just take the back and get a new one

as for your torque wrench if your going to do internal engine work like taking the head off then ye 100% get one

i have a teng tools one, id get the most expencive one you can afford! i dont trust cheap tools they bust and lead to spanner rash!

Theres loads of different sized torque wrenches .

Do you need a few of them or does one do ??
