Hi evry1,
i have a standard exhaust and air box/filter atm, if i bought a piperX induction kit would fit a 1.2 8v and would it sound alright without exhaust etc?

i want one so plz dont suggest drilling my airbox etc (Joffery!)

Where can i get one online, is POTN the best bet?

Thanks,
Matt

WTF? Why would I recommend something stupid like modifying the airbox I only tell people that because they're so anti-induction kits.

Fitting an induction kit will give your car a lovely growl as you accelerate. No more power, but your throttle response will be a lot quicker/smoother and revs will climb and fall a lot more easily.
All without needing a change of backbox!

Obviously fitting a nice sporty backbox will help with the sound the car makes, but on smaller engines you tend to get a drone rather than an exhaust note.

Get a PK037XL - it's more or less what the old PVD BFO cones used to be.
Any Pipercross retailer can get them for you - Rimstyle, POTN, Need for Speed, etc.

Fuel consumption will only go up if you drive the car harder.
PK037b is the correct kit for the 1.2 8v.

Might as well, disconnect the battery before you fit the kit, then by the time you've fitted it you'll have probably had your 1/2 hour or so.

Remember to get any security codes for the headunit and to leave the key in the ignition on position 1 if you have a factory immobiliser.
