hey ppl...

This started 2 days ago...

I park the car for a long period of time ie over night! If i park it up for a few mins its fine and does nothing!

I get in my car start her up and move forward, as soon as i do the car jumps forward and theres a rather loud "bang" it sounds and feels like the car was stuck to the ground!

I then start travelling forward and the brakes makes this grinding noise, i hit the brakes and the noise gets louder and become sqeeky as well! Strangely the noises disappear after about 20metres and the car runs fine!

Any1 have any idea what it could be? I have a feeling it might be my rear brake drums or the handbrake playing up? The noise seems to come from he back of the car!

I called vauxhall to make an appointment to get it checked and they quoted me £65 for 30mins diagnostics!

Plz help

Cheers

it will be your rear brake shoes your handbrake is'nt releasing properly it is a common problem on vauxhalls.if you can get away with it dont use your handbrake until you get it sorted.that way the noise wont be unbearable.

brakes on new corsa don't last very long usually 10-15k

I had to have new disc's at 12k due to corrosion (paid for by vauxhall though)
