Need a new stereo desperatly as old 1 ia dyin rapidly, was look at getting a Alpine 9830r which i can get for around £220 (or £350 in the shops), any1 got ideas of anything around this price range that is better?

save another 30 odd quid mate and go for the Alpine CDA-9812RB, its got a few more features and is generally a battery player 
However, if you want one around 220 odd, then the pioneer 77MP is great and offers loads of SQ features - plus i think it looks better than the alpines but thats just me

Got the 77MP in mine and i would highly reccomend this one if you are running amps or planning to run amps in the future as the 6.5v pre-outs make a great difference to the quality of the sound! also has so many settings will keep you busy for hours

id be running to amps 1 for 6x9's and other for subs currently i got 1 line out going to one amp then a line through from the amp to the next amp! Guessing making these both connected straight to hu will also improve sound quality.
TBH i aint ever rated pioneer and definatly hate sony being as tho mine has blown up outputs i dont even use??!!??
Tho this pioneer 1 looks good, has a good spec and is bit cheaper
