I will just be driving along then all of a sudden the head unit will turn itself off. If i press the power button it switches back on. What could be wrong. Ive checked for loose wiring but cant see anything.
It is an Alpine 9807rb by the way.
Cheers

na a fuse wudnt cause this...is it after a certain time of turning it on or anything like that?? or is it just completely random
if its completely random then i expect its something tripping it out (loose wire etc)

could be a lifted PCB track or loose pin head, maybe even something loose in the car loom, not just the headunit loom.

same things happened to me on my HU, it automatically switches off when i'm driving - about once every 2 days. Does anyone know what might cause this. I have no amp. The only extra accessories i have between the HU and the power source is bluetooth and the steering wheel controls.

mine used to do it, mine was an ignition wire, if you pushed the key in it was alreet, if u let go itd turn off, use a multimeter n your laffin! may be dif in your case but check anyways!
