car has seemed jerky as i release the throttle over the last year!!!!!
i havnt checked the ICV or the throttle body....but have read many posts were that dont solve the problem either!

i was thinking.....could the increased air intake from the induction kit and better flowing exaust cause this jerkiness???
or even the type of petrol i use, Shell-Unleaded??
if so what could be a cure? uni-chip? super-chip? re-map?

if its a k&n 57i (or similar) it will cause a few problems as is close to the engine and sucks too much hot air in , i got rid of mine in about 2 months due to this

i dont keep the air feed connected on my viper induction kit...so it is similar to a KnN in terms of hot air sucking in!

but.....its only jerky when i relaese of the throttle above 10-20mph BY WHICH their would be enough cold air flowing into the engine anyway???
and i have 2 air feeds!

could try boxing the induction kit in a bit more - my mate had a similar prob and managed to weld mesh round the base of his - looked pretty sweet too.

i wanna have a moan, why have you not cold the cold air feed on ya viper. I DONT use mine either because with it on the car has a HUGE flat spot from 4000rpm-5000rpm, simply take it off and it goes away. Do you get this too it fooks me off, ?

yesterday I fitted my race X induction with a 10cm cold air feed to the filter.I used K+N oil on the filter, and I have to report no jerkiness or flat spots
The best 35£ spent, it's that bit cheaper than the Viper (ok it's not carbon fiber but...it works)

ive never really driven the car hard with the cold feed on but yes in general it just didnt pull as hard with it on!! probly coz it sucks in a LOT more air with it of...
but main reason i took it of is coz it sounds like a beast after 3k revs dont you get this???

it jerks if i release the throttel suddenly, somtimes it ok not so bad and somtimes it really bad, could be due to the weather and how dense the air is??

i think its coz to too much air comming in from what the car thinks it should be getting and then as i release the throttel it jerks as its suddenly cut it of, which is why i think a uni-chip? or a remap? is needed?
