dont bother with astra gte brakes as they are exactly the same size as your corsa discs. go for v6

yes the disks have the same diameter(256mm) however the caliper piston is bigger. This gives you much increased stopping power.

but the corsa 1.6 uses crap calipers and thiin discs

the 2l 16v ones use much better calipers and thicker discs. after all these were fitted too 150 bhp cavs which are a lot quicker and a lot heavier than a 1.6 corsa and they stopped them quick enough.

i gots 2litre spec brakes on my Gsi corsa, they 24mm x 256mm, same diameter as old disk but 4mm thicker, and the calipers are like twice as big

they got massive stopping power compared to standard ones i feel so much safer with them
car doesnt swerve side to side no more under heavy braking from 80mph+, and they work brilliant with ABS

i cant imagine how bloody powerfull the V6 ones must be

you need to have min 14inch wheels for the 2litre and 15inch for the V6

BARGAIN at £200 from V-Tunning the calipers are quality, however the disks are not best quality as they rust in the vents, but they are good enough

im not sure on the GTE disk and caliper size??

but the one with the bigger will have more stopping power...however i reccomend that you have ABS! as you will be able to lock the wheels easily at high speeds otherwise just go for the 2litre spec

i think the v6 ones are only 20mm thick, but the face is 284mm. Fiat coupe turbo disks fit as well, but u will need a spiggot ring which fits over the hub so it fits on correctly

yep, u jus gotta have ABS!!!!!!

i would have got the V6, but i only got standard 14inch gsi alloys!! and i need to have at least 15inch for the V6 so i had to do with the 2litre spec, but im very happy with them

are you sure they are only 20MM thick are the calipers larger too compared to the 2litre spec??

fit v6 ones, and hope that you dont have abs cos its shite.

you dont need a spiggot ring to fit the fiat coupe disks as i have them on my corsa, just need to put the wheel o with the hub in a certain position, tricky at first but not a problem now.

disks - £60

calipers (v6) £40

bargain,

do fit some braided lines tho.

by the way the fiat disks are thicker than 20mm!!!

I went crazy and have fitted 288mm discs and Tarox six pot calipers.
They used to stop my Subaru Impreza with 250bhp
So they overbrake 99,9% of cars on the road BMW's,MERCEDES,AUDIS included and other sXXt brake equipped models.

You should see theirs faces thinking they have much brakes

the good thing about the 4 pot and 6 pot calipers appart from the stopping power is they weigh SOOOO much less than the GM stuff. theses things weigh a tonne. i know cos a v6 pad fell on my big toe required a hospital visit

You know if you've got abs cos when fire up your car and all your ignition lights come on it'll say in orange letters ABS, can't be more obvious than that eh haha. I personally haven't got abs on my 1.6 sport but it stops ok. I defo need upgrade ma brakes but not sure which ones to get. Wouldn't mind 6 pots but i ain't that minted haha, still at college,
