Did u have any mods at the time?

If the del-sol is anything like the oldder shape vti they are poo at putting the power down before about 20, rolling start i'd say the del-sol would take it...plus remeber there isn't much meat on the car...

I've beat a CTR before as well but it was not driven properly. CTR is a sub 15s car just most people that own them can't drive for shit

I've just spent a few beans on Fast Road cams & Pulleys, Polishing & Porting, Balancing & Lightening, Group A head, quickshift and paddle clutch.

Get the car back tomorrow after over a week in surgery.

Bearing in mind I already had a closed induction filter, full SS system and decat plus a Rally Spec 4-1 branch manifold.

Looking at about 165bhp when I get it back.

hope your gettign it mapped

hehe

My engine was getting on a bit with nearly 80k on the clock so I decided to get it rebuilt and may as well spend the extra to get everything uprated whilst it's apart.

Not sure what it'll run on the 1/4 mile... how does your 2.0 16v do, you run down Pod?

This is a quote from the LAD site.

Seems feasible, but the engine does not provide enough torque to overcome rolling resistances like a 2.0 can.

40bhp/33% more power from cyclinder head mods?

"rally cams lift power output to approximately 170bhp" - Don't these guys use rolling roads?. Probably wrecks mid range torque too

S'alright, i know

Chris, only thing with the LAD 170 conversions is that i've never actually seen them make 170bhp, always 150-160bhp and a lack of torque. Still seem to motor ok, but still no match for a similar tuned C16/X16XE engine

Perhaps the VTS gain is feasible, but 30 bhp from cylinder head modifications alone on the VTR ?

Not since the days of the A series did your get that percentage of gains from working a head, and that was 5 port !

91mph Terminal speed... The Civic I beat did a 95mph Terminal even though I did a quicker 1/4.

Shows that my lack of torque is begining to impact.

With a few minor mods I was running 15.1's regularly, including beating a Civic Type-R at USC 2003.

0-60 been officially timed at Bruntingthopre Air Strip at 6.9 seconds...

So I would be surprised if he wasn't an even match for the CRX.

Yes, I'm sure its 'well fast'. I'll try to keep out of the way of GTi's from now on, don't want that 15s quarter miler showing me up.

Did I say that I'd show you up?

I just commented that you were talking out of your behind with regards to your comparisons on the GTi and CRX.
