im paying over a grand on a 1.0 12v mate (group 3 insurance) so you aint gonna get a very fast car unless youre minted!

a 12v is insurance group 1 mate.

you can get up to a 1.6 before 21, unless you pay bug bucks.

im 20, i pay £550 with cat1 and all mods

wait till ur 21 thats what im doing! u could get a 1.4 or 1.6 insurance wud be abit on 1.6 depends on ur ncb and were u live really

Depends on if u have any no claims discount, your postcode etc

Im 20 0 No claims and have got a 106 GTI (Group 13), Sooty was 19 when he got his. Try elephant.co.uk

Put one of your parents as second driver, it halved mine, and you get the no claims. Mines 750 on a 1.4 SRi, im 19 with no no claims, plus im a mechanic, which put it up loads! Thats with elephant.co.uk

Im 20 with 5 points and 0 no claims. On ma Dad's insurance because the cheapest premium quote i got on a standard 1.2 8v was £1980!!!!!
Ouch!!!!!!!
Let this b a lesson to every1, points dont mean prizes, they mean ridiculous insurance!!

i been insured on my GSI since i was 19, paid £1200 TPTF, now im 21 i pay £1100 full comp, with loads of mods 150BHP+ all declared though and 3 years NCB & 6points!!!!
should be below £1000 this year

before i switched to vauxhall i drove a '91 black fiesta 2i 1.6, fully minted, and v.fast, 0-60 7.5 secs! the insurence was 1300 tpft (insurence grp 15!) with adrian flux. o claims they wouldnt insure me till i was 19.

its alot of money to spend on ins but its worth it while your young!
