no not at all, wish i was able to drive while filming my speedo (my life does not revolve around or in my car) someone must have something to prove.

That 0-60 is very rapid mate, had to be said.

But from there on, you can really see how the 1.6 just runs outta torque, and just cant keep accelerating. Loadsa bhp and all that, "massive bhp/ton", but at the end of the day, the torque really lets it down. i was expecting more.

There have been discussions on here before bout 106 GTi's versus 2.0 corsa's, but i can tell you know that a valver corsa would STORM your car 50+, even if it is equal till there, just coz of torque.

I'd love to come up against a GTi on a motorway, coz lookin at that, there is NO WAY that is faster than my DIESEL!!! 70+

Your water temp is pretty high, mine never gets above half. Next time, if u have any mates, get them to film it so we can see the outside, might be slightly impressed then, doubt it though.

i am tellin ya mate, that needle is not flyin round at the same rate mine does on the motorway 70+!!

However, if it were a 0-100mph sprint, the 106 wud be miles a head, just coz of the 3 second 0-60 difference!

I really cant wait to come up against one!! i know quicksilvers are cack 50+, so i'm hopin the GTi is a challenge.

well your 0-100 time is probably around 28-29s. your 0-60 isaround 10s the GTi around 8s. therefore it is taking you around 18-19s to do 60-100 the GTi is taking around 13-14s. you do the math
