Got a weird problem

Took me 5minutes (literally) to open an email earlier and websites running heinously slow. So did a speedtest.net check to see if there where speed issues. 8ms ping, 12mb up 6down?!

Facetime is blocky and jittery, seems web is slow some sites more than others. Left it a while then ran Ccleaner for an unrelated reason (porn) then went back on the net and it was lightening fast?

Few hours later and again weird slow issues again facetime not working properly and apps took 10mins to update?!

WTF? Got a fast connection but it's not fast all the time? Are BT just shit? (Fibre) or is there a setup issue?

Check service problems with your provider.

Remember lots of ISPs run their own Speedtest box so you could be getting amazing much wow ping latency and such but when reaching out of your ISPs network its still utter dog shit

Just try resetting the router. Do a proper check of your pc... possibly try that system restore thing to put it back a few days. Not a real issue tbh can be solved easy enough

Unplug all the phones, take the front off the master socket and plug just the router straight in - see if the problems are still there

33mb download, 15mb upload 16ms ping....

Just took 3mins to send a small photo via iMessage and about )mins to download the 15mb update to Instagram on my iPhone.

Unplugged everything and re connected. Used just from main router downstairs speeds seem fast but still prone to hanging and random connection failures.

BT are useless and won't give us any sort of formal answer.

Seems to help if I turn the wifi off on my phone and back on again every 30mins/when I lose Internet. Daily occurrence and always worse at night.

Baffled.
