At a guess you have a retail ISO and you need OEM.

Not if they didn't supply you with the XP ISO.

Code on the sticker is for an OEM ISO. If you've downloaded one and it's retail that is why.

Ahh OK. Office is a trial version and needs a key. That's isn't the XP key. You buy it and get the key. Or find one. I don't have any.

  Faz you dumbass.

As a sidenote, I would make a copy of your XP product on the bottom of your laptop because using it rubs the letters off and then its useless, then if it does fuck up completely and you have to reformat using a downloaded version of Windows you can just re-use the product key...

And there are plenty of places you can 'find' a cdkey generator for Office. It is definitely office you have isnt it, not that really shit version that isnt quite notepad but isnt quite office either?

If you installed Windows with a retail disc and you've got an OEM key, you can still make it work.

Download the Windows Product Key Update Tool:

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/help/genuine/product-key?displaylang=en

I've done this and can confirm that it works and activates OK. No dodgy downloads required!

Ahh didn't read the whole thread properly.

If a dodgy Office key is what he's after, then he can use Google or actually buy the bloody software and not be tight.
