i've never painted drum brakes before and i just want to tidy my car up a bit so going to do them black as they are a horrid grey colour.

what do i use? and can i get it in halfords? can't be bothered messing about on a sunday looking for it

On my Corsa I used Black Hammerite. Works fine. Just wire brush them before hand to get any rust off

Hammerite and go over with a wire brush wheel in a drill to prep.

On your car you won't need to wire brush it TBH, it won't have rusted in the space of a year.

i wire brushed mine down, cleaned with thinners, then used high temp black paint

you cunt, they haven't rusted at all, only 4 months old, they just have residue on them which looks like spunk tbh probably just cleaning stuff left over from cleaning the wheels. so could i just paint straight on?

and will a 250ml tub of smooth black hammerite be enough?

Did my calipers and drums today with a small can of hammerite, not sure what the exact measurements of it are though, you don't need much
