1. Just changing my clocks back to the standard clocks from GSI clocks, the speedo stopped working working and the electrics are dodgy on it (engine light came on and oil light and then the car cut out, so i have just gone to change them back but as i pulled the clocks out i pulled the speedo cable a bit too far and the actual cable has come out.
Its only half a meter in length but i havnt got a clue were this goes behind the dash. I have just got the haynes manual out to have a gander through but any advice will help. Is it hard to put back?
Sorry, but i also need a bit more help....
2. I hate this fucking car, It failed its MOT last week due to ball joints and suspension and i have sorted all that and its now back on standard suspension but i have now aquired an annoyingly loud squeeking noise on the nearside and alot of rubbing.. Its that loud that people are turning their heads from about a hundred yards away.
I have just had the car tracked in the last 30mins wich cost £20 and that didnt sort it, the brakes are fine, the only thing i did notice was a little close is the plate thats behind the disc it self.. not sure what the name for that is but i think it may be this. it may have been bent when we were replacing the ball joints. could someone shed some light on this part, is it realy needed and does it even come off?. Cars due back in for a retest for the MOT today (i think) so i realy need to get this sorted. Will they fail it without the speedo working! mind you they wont be retesting the whole car.. just the balljoints so they might not even notice the speedo (hopefully)

tin plate behind discs is just held on by two screws i think, can be easily bent back by hand though.
