should be getting a new car on friday hopefully but it doesnt have tax, is there anyway i can tax it on friday, so i dont have to wait for my new insurace certifacte to come through?

No, you have to have a certificate/cover note to tax it.

hasnt the owner now got insurance on it he can tax it and u pay him back thats what my brother did worth askin him

If he has a trade insurance policy that covers any car.
Just tax it with that.
