Hello, ive got a n reg 1.4i 8v astra mk3 now how many miles shuld i be getting to a 10er drives sensibly? Cuz its seems to be using a stupid amount ov fuel.

About 100 miles.

well im pushing 50/60 miles going really easy on it. Changing below 3000 rpm.

I know its really pissing me off. Everynow and then I can smell petrol but its not often at all. And ive checked my driveway for stains and there is none.

Were would the most commen place for it to leak be?

I'm averaging 35MPG according to the onboard computer. I've been hammering it everywhere the past few days though.

the 8v's arent great.

I'd expect 70-75 miles average.

Remeber the price of petrol as gone up as well.

yeah, quite crap on petrol does pretty well on motorways sitting at 70-90 though, get about 40mpg +

just doesn't like built up urban area sitting in traffic, which i usually do every time i go out for a drive round here
