i've been told that a 4-2-1 manifold is better as it increase low down power as well as top end, but will a 4-1 actually decrease low down power, or will it be unaffected?reason i'm asking is because i cant seem to find a 4-2-1 manifold anywhere for my car for a decent price.is a sri 8v by the way.thanks.

i dont think you'll notice a major difference between the two,

my mate got a rally 4-1 on his corsa dn it was very good over 3500k. worked wekll. But was still good for driving round town etc.

I went from a 4-1 to a 4-2-1 and couldn't tell any difference what so ever.

I noticed a hell of a difference with my 4-2-1, picked up a lot better from lower revs and pulled harder all the way.

You can't get performance manifolds for 1.2 8v's, would be a absolute waste of time anyway.

Only one where with a huge manifold maybe then but did make a hell of a difference. It's a Vsport 4-2-1 manifold, appearently simular to the SBD one. . . .
