Author ECU light not on????

i was driving down the road and my car cut out and my ecu light didnt come on when i tryed restarting it so i toutched a few wires under the bonnet and it came on again so i toutched the wires again and drove it home and it cut out again on my drive but when i toutch those wires now nothing happens and the ecu light isnt coming on at all now..

Any ideas??

nope it turns over but wont start

the ecu light on the dash would still come on tho wouldnt it even if it was that

Thats if your bulb isnt gone, which wires did you mess with before to turn if off?

nah the bulb is fine.. the loomb that runs to the gearbox plug-ins and the one with the ecu live on it i think

theres like a block and the plug together and twist.. thats the one i was fiddling with for it to work

Not necessarily, my coil pack died and didnt put the ECU light on, was rather annoyed because i didnt think of reading for codes cos the light wasnt on and i know it works. However the ABS light was on. Cleared the engine coil codes and the ABS light went off

found the problem now.. the ecu live wire had come loose lol
