went to get a price today for a new set of lifters for my gsi and was told they are £10 each plus VAT does this sound right to any of you?

skip cheap ones, they are shit, such as the ebay ones. get genuine vaux ones or ones from newman cams.
If you can wait a week or two I will have some new ones for sale, cheap. used for about 4 hours on the dyno and 200 miles on the road.

i actually thought that was dear, cant really afford £160 for a set

i want gm ones as when i had the engine fitted i had new parts fitted, clutch, timing belt kit, ect which where all gm parts.
dont trust cheap parts

I wouldnt go that far. I took the head off my GSi and used factor parts but good names. Goodyear belt and tensioners and never had a fault since. Cheap as unkown brands i would never use but aslong as they are a known brand i will use them unless vauxall is only a few quid more.
