a friend use to be a special in the local police+he checked a hand book out he still had from the year 2004+it states that front tints must let 75% light through (or something along these lines)
any idea if the law has changed

Pretty sure it hasn't. Spoke to a copper a month or so ago, and he said that if your car has a tint from the factory then its already up to the maximum or very close. the black markings engraved into the window tell you whther it has a slight tint or not.

Yeah true, the tint from manufacturer is all you can do. U can do what you want with the 3 rear windows though. U cant do the front window and if ur putting a sunstrip on the wiper blades must be about 10mm from touching it - which basically means theres no room.
