we use either 1.5mm mild/aluminiumised steel and powder coat it for basic cages and 1.5mm stainless for people that want them shiny. stainless is about twice the price. use anything from 1.5" to 2" o/d

I dont do them personally but our fabricator makes them. 1 off only, welded into the car. prices vary from £300-£600
