some of you may have seen my previous posts about my red top playing up.well in the past couple of days i decided to see if i had an ecu light.so i removed the dash and there was no bulb in.so i put a bulb in and it still dosent work.it obviously hasnt been wired in.then today i took it to a garage to have it put on the diagnostic's machine and guess what the machine could'nt comunicate with it.again not the plug has not been wired in.any way he done an emissions test on it and a coupleof other things and found that the lamba sensor in nackered.so i brought a new one went to fit it and the current one is welded in any way that will be sorted tomorrow.but another thing he said was the car is running very lean.he said the fuel pump might be nackered.so my question is is a 1.6 16v fuel pump capable enough for my engine and if not what are my options for changing it?

check your fuel pressure, get your injectors cleaned... and if that fails it may be your alternator.. had this problem myself.
