I own a corsa b 1.6 16v sport. now i have been lookin around a have noticed that it is quite common for people to do engine conversions on corsa b's. i was lookin at puttin a c20let redtop in mine obviously with all other mod takin to account the extra power. now i can get this done at a specialist mechanic all parts supplied inc engine front and rear strut braces coilovers new driveshafts F28 gearbox the lot ya know drive it in then drive it home for around £3000 i know that sound a lot but its a lot cheaper than buyin a new car. my question is is it worth it. what are the gains. i know it will be fookin fast but as i said will it be worth it. any technical help will be much appreciated. thanks.

erm .......... YES

£3000 drive in drive out saves you alot of hassle in doing the conversion if you not quite feel confident DIY

will be fast in a straight line once you manage to stop it wheelspinning, handling wont be good, its a very heavy engine so will understeed and feel very front heavy. we have tried getting one to handle well, but even with £900 custom coilovers and lots of setting up it hasnt improved greatly.
