Hi there,

My hand break light is almost constantly on, what can cause this, and is it easy to fix? I have an MOT on Thursday, so it would be good if I could fix it.

My engine management light is on again, but I'm going to have to deal with that.

I was told that could be what it was, but my break fluid is full, about the maximum mark actually, I think. I'll go have another look just now.

Then your handbrake light switch has got stuck... It's on the back of the lever and a slight pain in the arse to get to as you need to take the trim out to get to it.

I had a feeling it may have been the switch. So is it a big job then? How long would it take to fix? And i'm guessing I would need a buy a new switch

Not really much of a job. You just need to pull the carpet back and then you can unbolt the whole handbrake of you need too with it released. The switch is on the back of it...

I have this problem with my corsa too, but it only comes on when I go up hills, round corners and between 20-60mph.

Just check your entire brake system - pads, discs, cylinders, shoes etc
