I've posted about this before and never really got a solid reply. basically upon a hard right turn right of after a stretch of high speed my rear wheel makes a grinding sound, its not constant but intermittent.
at first I thought I had lazy shockers, they've been replaced. I also changed alloys as the offset on the first pair didn't help. This did remedy the arch been worn by the tyre.
The new Alloys sit a lot more tidily within the arches. I've recently noticed a squeaking sound from the same wheel, not like a constant whine but during vibrations like a rattling squeak.
are these tell tale signs that my rear bearings are either on the way out of fcukd?
If so how much am I looking to replace the rear bearings and/or
Can I change them myself?
This who issue is currently stopping me from lowering due to rub concerns.
let me know
Dan

rears are easy for the average amateur mechanic. not much more than a socket set, pliers and a hammer needed.
buy a haynes manual, £12 well spent.

IMO, if you have to ask if you can do it, the answer is no.
