i had a ported and polished head enlarged thottle body and cams fitted, i know its meant to run lumpy with cams in, but the problem i have i think its to do with the TB as it was of a gsi and mine is a X16XE i had to change the TB cable and when i drove it, the revs seem to stick on 2500rpm, any ideas what it could be??

make sure nothing is stuck around the cable, or in the butterfly..
Is the cable the right length? I.e. is the throttle butterfly/flap closed when no throttle is applied, or is it slighty open?
ICV ok?

i bought an new gsi cable from autovaux and it is almost double the size, which i think might be causing the problem, the butterfly does shut fully, the two sensors i swapped over from my old TB as i thought this could be the problem but there fine
