hi everyone, just wondering what the performance improvement would be like if i installed a K&N air filter into my car. It is a 1995 Vauxhall Corsa B 45bhp, it is a 1.2. Not really. I take it it's an 8 valve??
Do a search for 1.2 tuning, someone posted a link the other day. Theres other heads, cams and throttle body you can use of other Vaux cars. Your not going to get much gain out of a 1.2 though. Nothing bolt on anyway.

if its got 45 bhp now wat would the filter push it upto?? would the engine sound good with the filter or just sound stupid on a car with 45bhp

In all honesty mate you will prob see 0bhp but just get a bit better noise from the damn electric motor. I had one, god they sound bad standard  As Dean said, you won't see much gains from anything really on that engine. Your best bet is to save up and get another engine in there

bigger engine would be best in that get a 1.6 spi out of a astra stright swap. and looks the same to

is it worth getting the filter just for the sound, (is it thst good) or would that be just wasting my money??

i have read elsewhere on this forum that the k&n air filter will have a big effect on a 1.0 12v and i was just wondering if there is an effect of performance on this engine why wont there be on my 1.2??

Bollocks. engines are shite for upgrading. just get some nice GM standard parts, keep it running nice, think about getting a K&N panel filter if anything and just drive it until you can afford to get something better.

TBH, that guy thinks because it's louder it goes better. In fact, it probably goes slower.
