mines buggered so i need a new one ive been offered one for £40 used... just wondering how much they are new and how difficult of a job is it fitting..
its a 1.2 16v sxi on a s plate

just bought a reconditioned one for 45 with a years warrenty and that was for a track rod end as well.. IMO 2nd hand racks are not worth it. get a newun or recon'd and then you have piece of mind
As for fitting it took me a night just to get it out.. people say you can get it through the wheel arch but i couldn't. As for fitting it thats what im doing 2morrow.

i tried to fix it buy just fitting a new tracking rod ... fitted that today and thought it would be done but them lowered my car and wheels are scoowif.. lol cheers mate

bewfore replacing the rack check your strut, ARB, and turret for any sign of damage. Its easier to replace any of them accept the rack.. its a bloody hard job!

well some cunt hit my car and took off .. snapped my rack and track rod end and the wheel sticks out by about an inch more than the otherside. so im checking all the things i said above... They would all almost certainly make your wheel scewwiff though make sure your tracking isn t out first!
