when my car hasnt been started for a few hours the auto-matic choke kicks in when i turn the ignition on, this is obviously normal, but when its idlin high its smellin really rich! is this also normal?
is there anyway to have an overfueling problem sorted?

seems ok, the idea of the choke is to make it run rich, it chokes the engine of air, if you know what i mean

never smelt petrol so strong though, that was all just wanted to check

there is no choke on a fuel injected car.
the fuelling is adjusted via the ecu

Could be a CTS problem.
As PaulW said, there is no choke, the ecu just opens the idle valve to add extra air, and richens the fuel mixture, raising the idle.
