annother whine from my engine
definatly cambelt area....took the belt off, all the pullys are lovely and smoothe, same with the alternator and tensioner (should be as there brand new lol)
what else could it be?...
didnt the early c16's have a recall on the bottom pullys?..something about - they make the belt run out of line...this would make sence as the the outer edge of the belt has furred after 220 miles

nope..i ran it up without the alt belt on...
im prettty sure its something to do with the bottom pully.....
anyone know if the x16 one is different to the c16?

I'd guess there the same, same bottom end/crank etc...

spoke to vaux today.....apparently the original c16 pully was superceeded by one the same as an x16xe.....

causes the belt to run-out and rub on the pully..

only prob is the pully is £65 trade
