Last time I had the brakes changed on my car one of the calipers was very stiff. Only just managed to push it back far enough to be able to put new pads in so thinking its time I got them refurbed as something must not be right.
They are ATE calipers as found on Astra GTE/GSi etc.
What bits need replacing when refurbing and where do I buy them from? just from Motor Factors?
Think I want to get them sandblasted aswell and get them painted properly but I know somewhere that can do that for me so thats not a problem.

What do I need to refurb an old set of calipers? Such as seals etc. and where to get them at?
Going to have to change pads shortly so going to change the calipers for some refurbed ones while I am at it.

ive just refurbed some 2lt astra calipers mate. You need some new seals which you get from Vauxhall but they are about £12 for each side.Apart from that the pots need to come out which is easy as pushing them from behind using a thin rod of metal pushed through the hole in the back of the caliper where the lines screw in.Once out clean up and replace seals.Remembering to cover new seals with brake fluid to stop the pots pinching a hole in them!
Oh and the pots are a tight fit.
