Right, since i had a rattling noise at around 3k revs, ive beed and had a look at what it could be and have found 2 things that it could be.
1 - My cone air filter - has been tapping on a bit of metal inside the engine Hand its possible to see where since its clean where contact has beed made, but i can fix this with a cable tie .
2 - The exhaust heat shield thingy - This rattles and ive seen it doing it when i revved it . But i cant tighten it up because on the left hand screw the screw appears to have snapped off inside the hole and the other side has a screw but it has corroded AROUND the screw and so there isnt really much hope for tightening that one up either .
What i would like to know is -
Can i take this off and still pass an MOT (due in next2 weeks)
Does it have any effects?
will it cause any general problems?
Cheers Marc .

Nope. It's not anything to do with MOT.
