Hi,

I am looking at buying a car off a lad i know and just wanted some advice about how much it would cost and if it is safe to repair a bent floor?

I havent actually seen the damage as i have only just heard about it and wanted to know what people think?
All i know is he hit a kerb and has bent the floor. Its a G reg 2.0L 16v Nova.

I know someone who can weld but need to know if its is worth doing and safe to do?

Thanks

I am not clued up on this but it sounds like he has hit the kerb hard , and bent the chassis in some way causing the floor to bend.

Don't buy it.

if its just a bent or dented floor pan/sill from coming off a high kerb it may not be too bad.

if it was a high speed accident then it could be the whole floor indluding chassis legs that are bent, if thats the case then avoid it.

Depends how much it is?
Depends how bad the floor is? (can always be jigged)

c0rsa, i have just text him asking how much for the hole car and if he can text me some pictures of damage & car!!

also... there is another reason i reckon you should buy that car! We both owned it in the past, and i loved it till those c u n ts robbed it, and i know you loved it till it broke into aswell!

if its beyond repair then fair enough, but if it's repairable at a fair price do it!!!

when i went in it, it was well fast, well alot quick than my Xe corsa, just needed a cash injection and some TLC, i do agree that it needs a bit more now though!

will let you know what he says!!
