hi, im in two minds wether to get a 4-2-1 manifold or a 4-1. i want to know which is best and which make to go for. cheers

the 'guessing' comment was because you say that getting a 4-2-1 is much better than buying a 4-1. this is not the case, depends on what you want from the engine and what it will be used for. also, how can you say your 4-1 manifold is a waste of time? have you fitted it to look nice or give performance gains? if its the latter then how do you know its a waste of time unless you get before and after dyno runs?

either shoudl be an improvement over the std header set up.

I personally prefer a correctly lengthed 4-1 as its simpler to make right, and for 16v engines where midrange is none-existant, it's all about 5-8k.
