About the Corsa offset, problems with 17" alloys and 40mm lowering?
Shopping trip this coming weekend for wheels.
I have read (somewhere??) that the Corsa offset is 49 and that not all alloys will work with the car. Is this right ?
Wide kit (combat prowler wide), going to be lowered 40mm and want 17" alloys. Oh and pls don't start dissing the kit lol. We like it.
What do I need to ask the supplier in order to make sure I dont end up with scrubbing or wheels problems?

If you are having the prowler kit, get the wheels after the kit is fitted as you need the wheels to have an offset of around ET30 for it to look alright. 17's will probably look a bit small with that kit too. 18's are the smallest I would go for. Also, you should try and go no wider than 7" wide wheels. You can probably get away with around 8" wide wheels with that kit, but it might take a bit more work to get them under the arches.
You can always space the wheels out if you get a higher offset than you need. Also, alloys at ET49 are rare as ricking horse shit! You will more than likely be sold a set of wheels that are between ET45 and ET48.
Oh, incase you didn't know. The ET is the distance between the face of the part of the wheel that sits in the hub and the dead center of the wheel.
