i was changing my lambda sensor but have damaged thread in the manifold!! so it wont screw in at all! any advice or tips would be great guys?

you means its cross threaded?if so run a tap down it .i dont no if they can be fixed with a helicoil. apart from that its a new manifold

how much would a helicoil cost? if possilble? how much roughly for a 2nd hand manifold? (just the top part is needed) is their any thing else at all i can try?

Get it Tapped mate if you dont have one im sure a garage will. I had that done for my lambda sensor.

you could always grind the bolt off the manifold and weld a new bolt on. Use a tap and die set on the lambda sensor.

everythings fine now guys, cheer

turns out the thread on the non-GM lambda sensor was worn out which is why it kept spinning and not screw in, so i just put the old original sensor back in!!

lesson learnt- dont work on car in the dark and use GM/reccommended vaux parts lol
